iRV2.com believes that the iRV2 Forum is a valuable place for its Members to exchange information and learn from one another. Like any community, the Forum is most valuable when everyone follows certain basic guidelines and rules of conduct. The Forum’s Terms of Service (TOS) sets forth these Rules and Guidelines (Rules) so that you know what is expected of you and what you can expect from other participants when using the Forum.
The iRV2 Forum is designed to be a place where our Members and Guests can ask/answer questions, correct problems, discover new products/services and make friends. We welcome any interesting RV related information you would like to share such as the tips you learned on your great trip to Disneyland. To support our Mission Statement, all posts should be fun, thoughtful, friendly, appropriate and/or informative. This can be best accomplished if all Members follow this TOS and the Rules as linked above.
To access the iRV2 Forum, you are not obligated to register. However, registration is free and does enable you (after providing a valid E-mail address, screen name and password) to post in the Forums and create your own Forum settings. Beyond your public profile, any registration information will remain confidential. Keep in mind when choosing a screen name that whenever you make a post, your screen name and link to your public profile will automatically appear. You may not use screen names that are already assigned, vulgar or offensive and we prefer you select one that's totally unique from existing members' screen names to avoid confusion in regard to who is posting.
Do not reveal any information (personal or otherwise) that you do not want to make public. As with any forum, you use the forum at your own risk as it is not possible to guarantee that other Members are who they say they are, know what they say they know, or are affiliated with whom they say they are affiliated. By US law, members must certify that they are at least 13 years of age or participate under the supervision of a parent/guardian.
iRV2 is proud of its success in building Member trust by supplying accurate information and being respectful. You can help us maintain and build on that trust by 1) Replying to a post only when you know the answer or can share your own experience on the subject. Incorrect, misleading or incomplete information does not help our Members. 2) Be respectful of your fellow Members. Many are new to RVing and do not yet have the knowledge that experience will bring. Belittling or insulting remarks are not conducive to building a strong online community. Remember, we were all “newbie’s” once.
Private Messages have become very popular and are subject to the same TOS and Rules as the forums. Registered Members have the right to block Private Messages through their settings.
Hyperlinks are permitted in the Forums and Member signatures if they support a subject being discussed or link to Member’s personal websites and photo galleries. Sites linked to hyperlinks must support our TOS and Rules.
iRV2 Moderators, among other responsibilities, answer questions, make recommendations, re-organize subjects, propose efficiencies, spearhead rallies and manage iRV2’s public image with its Members and Guests. As a matter of policy, Moderators do not pre-screen, verify or edit content posted by Members in the Forums. Members can assist Moderators with subject organization by placing their initial posts in the correct forum and staying on subject with subsequent posts.
iRV2 Moderators do not respond to every post. The Forum is a place for Members to help Members. Moderators have the option to respond at their discretion.
iRV2 Moderators do reserve the right to investigate any TOS and Rules violations and take appropriate remedial action which could include sending a warning, disabling or suspending privileges, deleting, screening, editing content, or prohibiting behavior that does not comply with our TOS and Rules. If it is necessary to delete content in a post for a violation, it may be necessary to delete the entire thread. The Moderators may, at their discretion, contact the Member first and give them an opportunity and time frame within which to edit the post, remove the objectionable content and repost it. Keep in mind this is a manual process which might not happen immediately.
Considering the real-time nature of this forum, it is impossible for us to review all message’s (posts) or confirm the validity of the information posted. While iRV2 actively monitors the contents of many posts, it does not assume responsibility for any messages posted. The Forum is not a substitute for contacting the manufacturer or supplier of your product to receive answers to critical issues.
iRV2 does not warrant, assume responsibility for, verify or guarantee the accuracy, reliability, completeness, usefulness, non-infringement of intellectual property rights or quality of content of the material posted in the forums or bear any responsibility for any loss, damage or other liabilities caused by any post.
