I've got to recoat my rig's roof because of leaks can anyone recommend a coating I'm not sure what type of roof I have . Its a 95 Fleetwood Prowler. and really need help here.

You need to know if it is rubber, aluminum or fiberglass. Since it is a Fleetwood it is probably rubber.

I used Plas-T-Cote Rubber Roof Coating on my 1996 Wilderness. You can check it out at this link: Elixir Industries

It was very easy to do. Just clean the roof real well first. I brushed the coating on around vents and openings, then rolled it on the rest of the roof. 1 gallon + 1 quart provided enough for 2 coats. It is latex so cleans up with water. I did it 2 years ago and it was still in great shape when I sold the trailer a few weeks ago.

If you know where some leaks are (i.e. where the rubber roof meets the fiberglass front cap) you can seal it first with "Through the Roof" sealant made by Sashco : Sashco Link It is available at many hardware stores. I sealed my seams with this product before I painted the roof with the rubber roof coating.

Don L I wouldn't put anything on my rubber roof that wasn't made by Dicor.I had a small leak and bought some stuff that was supposed to be for coating rubber roofs and it was the biggest mistake I ever made.After about 2 years the leak returned because the coating seperated from the rubber roof and to fix it I had to scrub the coating off down to the rubber then I used the Dicor product.It adhears(sp) to the rubber without letting go.Dicor is the company that makes the rubber roof material.Go to dicor.com to see their products.

Sorry for the late arrival, but has anyone tried Liquid Roof? I'm looking at getting a used 5'er and thinking of adding a coat to prevent future leaks.

First, read what Dicor has to say about their EPDM roof covering material. If you have leaks, follow their instructions exactly, you'll be pleased with the results.
Before buying any product with intentions of applying it to your "rubber" roof, request a copy of the MSDS for the product. Every retailer is required by law to provide one upon request. If it contains the word "petroleum" in the contents section do not use it!

I used Snow Roof Elasto-Seal (primer) and Snow Roof (white topcoat) on my vintage Class C. It had a metal roof that had been patched... alot. It seems to stay pretty clean too.
