I'm moving from Michigan to Concord NC and have a 30' Prowler TT and am curious to know if I'll still need to winterize my camper.
Thanks, Jon |

In a word, Yes. The cold weather won't last near as long as MI but it does get cold and I have been in that area during ice and snow.

Thank you.
I'm going to switch to blowing out the lines rather than antifreeze and see how that works for me. |

Good luck with blowing out lines instead of using anti-freeze. Any savings you may have will be eaten up by one little break in some plumbing neverland. Not worth the gamble to save a few bucks.

I'm with sprintnut. Even when blowing out the lines, there's still that little bit of water that just won't blow out. It'll freeze up & split a line somewhere you won't be able to see.
We had a 32ft 5-r & it didn't take more than 3 gallons of rv antifreeze to winterize it. At $3 per gallon from WalMart, that's cheap insurance against splitting a line & any ensuing damage that would surely cost much more than $9 to fix. JMHO. Hi All,
I am not trying to say one way is better then the other, only the person who owns the rig can realy now what they feel safe doing! However this is my 2 cents worth I Live in Northen New Jersey, which is not as mild as NC or as harsh as MI ! On this rig aswell was my 1994 Class-C which I bouth new I only blew out the lines and then put some antifreeze in sink & shower traps, as well as putting some in toilet to keep seals moist! Hope I am not jinxing myself, but I have not had any problems in the last 13 winters. To solve the winterizing problem this year I am heading to Fla. in end of Oct. LOL !!
