well folks it is good to hear that there are a few of you who have fifth wheels and are happy with them. We are in the beginnning process of researching RVing full time and time and again we are pulled over to the Newmar line for one reason or another. Any problems or concerns with any of your units? Anyone have an optionthat they wished they had gotten or wished they didn't get?

If you find that you wished you had gotten a option you didn't get you can always do it yourself and save yourself some $$$$.

Well folks we are new to the forum. We ordered our 2008 Cypress CPFW 32SLRK on August 3 and it should be ready Oct 20. After all of my reach, Newmar was the only choice. We feel it has the largest kitchen and fully functional even with the slide out in.

We just bought a 1995 Kountry Aire fiver. It is 37' with 3 slides and is the best thing we could have hoped to find in our price range. For its age it is a well-kept unit. We are trying to get used to how towing it feels. Just bought it an hour ago and I am typing this as we are going down the road. We won't get to spend the night in it until sunday or monday but are happy to be proud new members of the Newmar 5er community.

You folks have me getting excited on getting an '06 Torrey Pines, floor plan RLPK, 5ver.
It is a LONG story on how we're getting this unit but hopefully it should be here in a couple of weeks. We'll do some winter camping (even if it is at home) to see how the unit all checks out before we head to Az. in Jan. We're researching hitches, and looking at the air ride type. We have an '08 Chevy 3500 1 ton dooley, crew cab. Looking forward to sharing info with other 5vers since this will be our first one. (Had many Class A diesels and one Class C) Will keep you informed on how it all goes once we have the rig. (then I can change my sig!) Our 5th wheel was delivered late yesterday afternoon. It is sure nice. Today we've been slowly working on it...adding non slip shelf liner and tomorrow will start on unboxing the RV stuff we removed from the previous motorhome. Quality seems very good. Only have found a couple of things that need attention. There is a day/night shade that has been messed up and when the shower was manufactured it looks like they forgot to put some type of latch on the inside of the door so it doesn't fly open if you hit it with your elbow. Everything else seems to work well on what we have tested so far.
One question? We don't find a propane tank monitor. How do you know the level of propane if there isn't a monitor somewhere? We found the tank and battery monitor, but so far nothing for the propane. The final hitch parts came in today so either next week or the following week we'll get the hitch in the truck. It is going to be fun customizing it for us.
