No, he pulled out the axles from each drive wheel. Easier than the driveshaft, he said. A couple of the pictures on our site show the drive wheels with the cover off.

A good friend of ours runs a tow service out of Northamptom,Ma and one of their accounts is a bus company, 95% of the time they pull axles and leave the drive shaft intact. Nice to see you got a Tow Company that had the right equipment and experience. Good luck with the rest of the adventure.

That was one of those occasions where you can't have too much truck.

That rear axle on the truck seems to be the key to keeping everything under control.

Sure did. If anyone needs a tow within about 100 miles of the Albany/Schenectady area, I'd insist getting Mike at Pro-Motion Towing to take the job, if possible.
