Just want to follow up on cabinet installation the right hand cabinet required three screws into the 16" center wall studs. Hammer The counter weight and vibration caused cab to pull away from wall not fully but where it was noticable. Eek
No problem measure 16" on center from corner of slide and placed three long self tapping screws into metal studs, my cabs are real solid now. Thumbs Up
My cabinets had 1" boards on backing for mounting top, bottom and center. Nod

grtharris, I think I picked them at Arlington RV in RI. there a Newmar dealer I should think Winnebago would have them or maybe you could order them from Myers CW. I don't think they are just a Newmar exclusive. Smile

Oh Gosh I'm so stupid, Hammer never mind I just figured it out the table is on a slideout..

Been camping BLT, but to answer your question the screws are to the right of any electric wires 110, the 12v wires are run from the other end of slide. Been to factory tour 4 times and take pics while they were building MH. Smile

Hi 007,
Great work!
I see you got the cover off the "A" pillar. Mine is held on by some leather (or faux-leather) buttons; your's too? How do you get them off and that pillar cover off?

I also am mystified as to how to get at the speakers above the drivers and co-pilot's seats...there are no fasteners visible and I don't want to damage anything on a fishing expidition.

Is there anyplace online (or elsewhere) that shows how to open up a coach like this? The Monaco Cayman I worked on for a friend was very easy...because the interior construction was comparatively poor. This is built very well.

Thanks,
Larry Shaw

Larry, the leather buttons may pop off the screw heads or they may be the head of screw. Try turning the button to see if it backs off the panel if not than it must pop off the screw. Use a wide blade screwdriver.
The speaker mounts are screwed into the wood panel under the cloth fabric the wires will dress up to spk locations thru A channel there is room to hide wire in back of panel.
The fabric panel will drop off ceiling if you back off screws holding panel.
On a MA I had placed the surround spks in the cabinet behind grill panel, under the radio spks, used velgro to hold in place on carpet of cabinet floor.
You would not have to mount outside on fabric panel. Smile

Larry how about some KARMA everyone will know where you hail from the Newmar forum. Thumbs Up
If you are ever in Newburyport area give me a call can show you how. Nod

I had mentioned earlier about swapping the bedroom spk hookup with rear kitchen spks so I could use the FAD control off radio to control the kitchen spks. Well when you remove the two panels from in back of over head blowers this is what you have. Sweat

The wiring is all marked for all ckts weather spks or outside lighting, RR left spk and LR spk for bedroom spks etc, etc. Will just have to swap the wires with the front kitchen spks coming from the radio.
The two kitchen spks I will have to run a wire from each, because they are a muiltible of front over head spks, to splice into radio spk outputs. Juggle
When its all done you have a better balance of sound between the kitchen spks and the front over head spks.
Should sound great with the new Digital MP3 Player. Big Hand

When your done all wires will coil up and dress to the left of the opening make sure thats where you put them I found some of mine stuck in front of blower unit on sharp edges of metal blower unit. Oboy Plenty of room for wires on left. Nod
While you have this area open check for sawdust and vac it out or the sawdust will wind up on your dash. Big Grin

Just to let everyone know that when you pull out your VCR and Cable selector box you can fish a wire thru the hole for TV cable to the driver side wiring location and the fish will drop down in front of your windshield. Scared

There is a space between the deck for overhead fans and windshield. This info is good only if you want to swap out your kitchen spks to work off FAD control on radio. Hammer
I have all the new wires in just have to swap the leads from radio to spks. Big Hand

Its so much fun just tinkering around the old girl. Big Grin

Question for "007"

What kind of MP3 player did you get? Where does it get it's power from?

I am thinking about buying 2. one for the MH and one for my daughter (who hates our music) that way she can use headphones.

Thanks Lee

My MH has the exact set-up as yours
