I don't have a diesel now (whew!) but I've seen the collars, there supposed to prevent vehicles that are not designed for hi speed fills from using that pump. I don't know if this is your situation or not, as I'm not familar with that coach.

At some places I have the same problem. I just go to another lane. They do have a small plastic reducing collar you can slide on the nozzle.... I just don't bother

I have put 45,000 miles on my 2004 DSDP and have never had a problem with a truck stop nozzle not fitting. I am glad I read about it here or I would think I was going nuts the first time it happens.

That metal collar, and sometimes its just a pin on the top of the nozzle, is used to hold the nozzle in our tanks. They hook under the lip of the opening on trucks fuel tanks. We have these in our yards on nozzles that are never even used by the public. They tend to have broke off many nozzles so look around. The nozzle in the fuel lane next to the one your in might not have it. If it is to much of a problem you might have someone remove your filler pipe(so no metal gets in the tank) and open up the hole.

That is a reason that makes total sense. Does nto help us but at least I know why it is there now.
