I've been having problems with the filler hoses at Pilot and Petro truck stops being to large to fit my fuel tank filler opening. If I go to the RV lane it cuts me off after $50 fill.
Flying J truck stops have not beeen a problem.
Is there a mod for the Newmar Mountai Aire?

LRCCAC, Welcome to the forum. The fuel noozle should fit a MADP. It would be tight, but never the less it will fit. What year is your coach?

He has an '07.

A couple of members have posted of this problem, but I don't recall the brand of rig.

I believe the fuel filler is supplied by Spartan.

Peter,

His public profile says he has a 2007, 45' Mountain Aire.

I have on '07 Allstar and experience the same issue at some pilots and Petros. The nozzle has a collar that is just a hair larger than the filler opening. I have found that not all lanes have them if you look.

I tried to get an answer a few months ago about this and never found one. If you learn something please share it.

I have had no problems with mine. It should fit all though it's tight.

As far as FJ RV pumps cutting you off after $50 or $75, their "Smart Pumps" are supposed to track your credit card number. After several fill-ups, the pump is supposed to recognize your number and not cut you off. I had one cut me off at $50 a few weeks ago, then when I ran my card the second time, it let me finish the fill without cutting me off again even though it was well over $100. Haven't had a problem with pumps at FJ cutting me off since.

An '07 45' MADP should fit, no problem as it is the same chassis as mine. Try it again, it's tight but works fine.

If you are convinced the nozzel won't fit, the use the other side pump. (Master: Large nozzel/Slave:Small nozzel.) Start the master pump and lay it on the ground then go to the other side and use the slave pump to fill. Have had to do this several times, with no problems.

Have had it happen twice! Can't remember which stations, believe one was a FJ. The other side worked OK(as BabyBear says)! Believe it or not there are some that just don't fit!
