If I can't find a single slide bed to alter a double by removing the rear bed and canvas and use velcro or snaps and create matching canvas(with window) to box the end.

If it is so important, I would look for the Starcraft 1404 even it it is a 2002 year model..they are well made and if the interior is looked after, I would be tempted at a used one. Google Starcraft 1404...look for dealers too..

May I ask why you would like a single slide bed? In a small popup you can use the other bed for storage.

I'd convert a twin slide pop-up. Remove all the fabric in the front section. Then, using the slide rails, mount them under the top so the rails raise with the top. Then adapt a piece of plywood that would pull forward and out from the rails, then hinge downward to become your front wall. But, that's just me; I like thinking stuff thru and making it work.

If I was going to remove a bed, I too would remove the front bed. That way I wouldnt have to unhook, chock the wheels, etc just for a quick 1 night stop. It wont pop up with the front bed pulled all the way out... it is just too big. But after all that I will just keep mine the way it is..the drop down plywood would be an easy way to go too...maybe with a window in it..or a couple of fold out shelves to put the laptop on and leave it set up while camped.
