Hi. Am new here, and sure do need some help, if anyone can. My husband has just been diagnosed with ESRD (kidney failure)and will have to go on dialysis. He can do night dialysis on a portable machine, but we sure could use any helpful info from any experienced folks. We've been rv'ing for years and this comes as a horrible shock, but we refuse to let it impair our lifestyle. We aren't fulltiming, but we go a lot and belong to TT, CC, etc...help on this...anyone?

lighthouseroo, welcome to our website & forum. Sorry to hear of your husband's kidney problems but glad to see that you have decided not to give up the things you enjoy. I am sure that there will be some helpful info coming real soon. Hoping that you will find that with a little modification to the rv and you can keep going out in it with no problems at all.

Hi lighthouseroo, and welcome to our site. I'm not sure about your question, but my hubby has a CPAP machine that needs plugged into electric, so we always make sure we are at a campground at night. I'm not sure how big the dialysis machine is, but is there room in your bedroom? I'm assuming no one else here is on dialysis, or they would have answered by now. Hopefully they will see this and respond. Good luck

Allegro & Kay---hey thanks so much for the response. Yes he will use the portable machine for CCPD. It will fit on the bedroom nightstand if we cut a hole into the closet wall for a bit more room. Have already scoped it out, and I think this could be done easily. Now how are you coping with the delivery and storage of the supplies? Tell me everything you can! Please!!!!!!!!!!

Kay, I've not received much response on my dialysis in the rv questions. If your friend has any tips or tricks we would sure love to hear from that person....thanks...
