I have the RR8R Chassis on a short wheelbase MH (36'). Due to the short wheelbase it rides alittle rougher than others. Has anyone installed Koni's and did they make a noticeable difference?

Don,

The Koni's make a HUGE difference on the Roadmaster chassis. The Bilstein's that are usually on there from the factory ride too harsh, especially with four shocks per axle.

Our Koni FSD's are 145.00 each and if you are not satisfied send them back for a full refund.

Oh, the timing on this is soooo wrong and it's going to hurt really really bad this time.

I just got done pitching "The LAST add-on purchase we'll EVER need for our rv, Dear" to the boss, and now the sweet enticement of another improvement is rearing its head.

Hey, maybe if I tell her I'm doing it just for 'her'? Naw, on second thought I tried that already with the tire-pressure monitor... talk about a lead-filled balloon.

Seriously, when we were still looking last year, we did a test-drive awhile back on a coach with Koni's. Sweet.

Oh well, mo money mo money mo money.

Thanks!
Ron

It was the best money I ever spent on any of my 4 Motorhomes.

After the initial "gulp" of writing the check, you will be very very pleased.

Thanks for the info.....Ron...I ordered just the front and will post after I install and test drive. Taking the MH and boat out in three weeks.

Ron...First I convince the wife that we need the product, then tell her it's too expensive and will wait til later to buy. Pretty soon she tells me we should get it and not wait. Works every time.

I have the fronts in hand now. Installing later next month when I bring the coach home. I was instructed to install them using the pre-set settings.

Everyone do the same?

Thanks

Gaines and Charlotte,

I installed the fronts two weekends ago Hammer. It was an amazing difference Big Hand. I now get one rebound and the coach settles. Even over the big ones Big Grin. Our coach has 44K on the odometer, and the Bilsteins were still working, but maybe on the marginal side. I'm going to relpace the rear now. I can feel it moving around Frown. I don't know if Bilsteins would ride or control as well, but I like the fact that the Koni's are adjustable.

It was money well spent. Use the coupon code in the FMCA magaazine for free shipping!

Installed the Koni's on the front. They remedied the problem I had. The coach always handled well, but the TV bounced so bad on rough roads I thought it was coming down. I even replaced it with an LCD to reduce weight. The LCD had a terrible picture and I returned it.

The Koni's got rid of that harsh bounce. You can hear a rough road and feel a subtle impact, but the harshness is gone I'm very happy with the Koni's and will do the rears next.

Tom/Don, did you install the Koni's on your coaches yourself or have a shop do it?

TIA!
