here's a few more honorable mentions to add to the original two (these are still serviced by GM). Same style model breakdowns- first digit and last two digits of the full model name.

P12- medium duty
P52- G-van style cab/nose cutaway RV
P62- G-van style cab/nose cutaway commercial (commonly known as a G30HD or P3500HD)

these are not all,

THANK YOU, partsexpert! Now I finally can understand why my W-22 series chassis (with 242" WB) carries a "model" # of P32522. It always puzzeled me why a W series was a "P" model. Confused ED

to acknowledge your confusion, the earlier W-series motorhome chassis' does not have a "W" in the full model name. Just go by the last two digits of that sequence. (16, 18, 20, 22, 24, etc.) The later units do have a W in the full model name

partsexpert: can you do me a favor? How 'bout we "fix" your screen name to read something like this: PARTSexpert or partsEXPERT. Ya see, I'm having problem with my bi-focals and every time I see your screen name it looks like: part SEX pert, and then I lose my concentration Big Grin
Any body else havin' this problem? ED

That helps. Thanks!
By the way: The little flaming deals under our user names...Does anyone else think that they look like flaming piles of something? I chuckle every time I notice that. Talk about karma!

THANKS, parts_expert! I was only half-kidding when I made the request, but I really do think you've made it better....now where did I lay those glasses?

BUCKY1: If you think THOSE campfires look specious, you should have seen the original version. There was quite a discussion among the administrators, who decided on the improved version you see now. ED

The P12 was a rare breed. Not too many made and not too much info is out there.

I was basing that 'fact' on what I previously heard. 'rumours rumours rumours' I couldn't confirm that so I'll change that blurb in the earlier post.

I do know that the P12 was GM's early attempt at a medium duty stripped chassis. This was a predecessor of sorts to the W22. Has little if anything in common with the W-series though.

Your P12 in fact is still serviced by GM--- Workhorse does not own the rights, nor does WCC service the parts for it. Not a WCC vehicle.

The P12s are not my area of expertise, but rest assured, the P42, P32, RDP, W-series, etc. are.
