Ed/Full-time, Workhorse doesn't make the reservoir, it's made by Bosch. Smile

The mirror is an expedient I use yours may vary. Big Grin Regardless - please no fingers. Wink

jdsr, That's up to our SE Area RSM Eric McCann, I can't make a call like that except to suggest that if one has all their brake work accomplished at an WCC service center that may work in an owner's favor.

If you come to my WCMC Rally this October you can ask him yourself. I'll introduce you. Smile

DriVer, What you are saying is Workhorse decides who gets warranty, and who does not. I wonder how they decide that, as I had to pay for the last Actia IP install labor, while others here did not have to. Now I know its up to the RSM I guess. Is this any way to run a business? Frown

I want to thank all you good people for your help on my brake problem. After reading everyones input in this forum and others. I decided to first change brake fluid myself. The next thing I'm going to do is to take the wheels off and check the rotors for cracks. I think the brakes got hot and it sent a abs and a brake failure warning. I will also check the abs sensors for meltdown. All warnings are gone but I still some peace of mind. This will take some time to do but it will be done. I will let everyone know what I find or don't find. I'm begining to wonder if I made the right decision with workhorse because this is not my only problem past, present, and Im sure there will be more problems in the future.

I have been giving my brake reservoir the finger for years. I am not sure what contaminants I am supposed to be introducing into the system.

But, if Workhorse had spec'd a clear plastic reservoir or some sort of site glass then Bosch would had made it that way. The fact that Workhorse accepted what Bosch offered makes it a Workhorse problem.

Cleaning the top of the reservoir is SOP. The minute you remove the cap you allow moisture to get in the system. But, if you could visually see the level then this would be reduced to almost nothing except when you had to add fluid.

You don't have to take your wheels off to check for cracks. Each time I grease the chasie I slide my hand around and feel the back side of the rotors. Clean your hands first so you don't leave body oils etc. on the rotors and if you feel a crack - pull the wheel. There will usually be cracks seen on the inside as well.
You can also get to the ABS sensors without pulling the wheels.
It may not be quite as good as pulling the wheels but at least I do it more often.

I had that light and alarm come on on my adventurer and when I went to a WCC repair center it wound up to be the brake fluid sensor that was bad. They replaced it and no further problem.
I haven't had my fluid changed in my '04 and it has 2800 miles on it. brakes are fine and work great.
Sticking finger in to check level sems to be a no-no. I just look in mine or from outside.
Great coach you, have enjoy it.
