i am planning on changing my 5sp trans fluid from dex3 to amsoil tes295 fluid. in reading this forum and the wh manual i understand that the pan holds about 10.6 qts and the filter holds .5 qts. how much fluid does the torque converter and the trans cooler hold? can you remove the return line from the trans cooler to the trans to change the fluid in the converter and cooler by turning the engine over with the starter? i see from the forum that most folks just change the fluid and filter twice. that would probably only change 80% to 90% of the fluid, depending on how much the torque converter and the cooler holds.
