I really like my B&W companion hitch, but it likely wouldn't work if you have a short box, especially with a wide body 5th wheel.

I've seen a few goose neck toy haulers but they generally looked like someone added bunks, counters and benches to a utility trailer and the tank capacity was quite limited, as was storage. In short, they didn't look like a place I wanted to relax after a long day riding. The bigger featherlights I've seen, though, were different and appeared well done.

I guess I just prefer the RV based toy haulers.

Next time I think I'd just live with the rails and not have to use tools to pull the hitch. Actually, I'd probably run with one of the air ride hitches if I had it to do over again, and I'd have gotten a dually.

So for the 5th wheel hitch setups where there are no rails in your truck when the hitch isn't in, you have to use tools to take the hitch in and out? About how long does it take to do this?

With the B&W, about 10 minutes or so. It involves removing 1 bolt, loosening 4 nuts and pulling a release lever.

Yeah, like Rusty said, 10 minutes or less. It really isn't a big deal.

I always keep a torque wrench and a cheap set of deepwells in the pickup, to check lug nuts and stuff anyway...
