Best is in the eye of the beholder. Wink

There are a variety of vehicles suitable for towing, depending on your needs.

A S10 may be towable depending on the drive train.

MOTORHOME MAGAZINE publishes a list each year of vehicles that can be towed without modification.

However REMCO TOWING makes products that enable many vehicles to be towed.

REMCO is junk as far as I'm concerned. I had a driveshaft disconect put on our Kia. It worked for 2 days. After complaining to Remco non stop thay told me to take it to Dallas Tx to get it fixed, I was in Knoxville Tn Drove to Dallas and had the Driveshaft King work on it. It lasted 2 days. Everytime I need to connect I have to jack up the car, climb under and re-connect the driveshaft. Wonder piece of crap for a $1000.00.

The best 4 down toad today is the Chevy HHR. Due to its ease of towing, economy, comfort, ride and price. Check one out.

Sorry Lee, I've gotten a lot of enjoyment/fun/fuel saving/economy from our five speed stick shift '02 PT Cruiser. Most of the time, we forget it's back there.
It's so easy to connect, especially with Blue Ox and US Gear platform. No brake buddie mess, just plug-in/hook up and blast off. I can hook up from "soup to nuts" in 3 minutes max. Guess the HHR might be as much fun. PT is only 3 thousand pounds to drag around, so Happy trails. Big Grin Hat DocUSAF

Hi All,

Route 66 is 100000% right " Best is in the eye of the beholder" For me it's a Jeep Wrangler on the second one now, and if it was not for a none RV related accident that toatled it, I would still be towing the 95 jeep today! What I like about them besides the easy hook up is being able to take doors and top off ! Makes for a fun sight seeing vehicle, that can go just about anywhere Thumbs Up !!!!

I have towed a 2004 Infinity Qx56 since 2005 with a Remco installation for over 50,000 miles with no trouble in the USA and Mexico. I believe the installation must be perfect and the training of re-connection must be adequate in order for this to work well. Sometimes it is a daily connect and dis-connect. Sorry to hear of the troubles some have had. We originally trailered the vehicle and Remco was the answer for us.

Susuki has tue 4X4 products (Vitara and XL7) That are sxcellent tow vehicles. We know!

As stated previously, look at the Motorhome guide for those allowed to be towed without modification.

Contrary to the slam on REMCO they are and have been for years considered the source for towing modifications. They have earned a very good reputation.
