Just took dekivery of 2005 Hi-Lo 22 foot, 3/05 date of mfg and I am the second owner, First owner used approx 4 times. Problem is I just discovered this week the curbside lower panel has bubbles or is delaminating. Hi Lo says it will help pay some expenses but I have to bring it to the factory and still get hit with over 700.oo in repair bills.
Question is, is this normal, and how would other mfg deal with such a situation? 2005 HI-LO 22T 2004 GMC XUV AIR RIDE REAR SUSPENSION PRODIGY |

Obviously the delamination is likely the result of some water intrusion from somewhere. You are probably beyond the warranty, so the offer for assistance from the manufacturer is generous. If you want the trailer to last, take them up on the offer and "bite the bullet" on the balance. Has the dealer offered any assistance in the matter? Surely it was there at the time of sale and should have been noticed by the dealer too. It may be inconvenient, but the factory repair is probably the best repair you will find.

Thanks for the reply. Evidently from the repair shop at the factory they let the glue stay on too long or humidity was high. Anyway, it seems to me then they should cover it all due to it being an assembly issue. In my idustry anythig that can be a mark on your reputation you cover. Sounds like this normal. Again thanks.

Delamination is not "normal" but is far too common an ocurrence. If it appears to be a factory defect, being as new a unit as it is, they might provide the assistance you seek. I think I would file a claim with their customer service dept. and see where it goes.

I have some delamination taking place on two basement doors. Newmar is replacing the doors no questions asked. As previously posted, if you are under warranty, make a claim.

Speaks well of Newmar, Itried to go through warranty, no luck. I figure this unit has been on this earth about 16 months, and no excuses period for delamiantion.
I guess this is not a problem for Airstream trailers, so that maybe next. 2005 HI-LO 22T 2004 GMC XUV AIR RIDE REAR SUSPENSION PRODIGY |

Even without the warranty, it needs to be repaird before it gets worse. The factory might still be the best bet for a proper repair, and might be more economical there anyway. At any rate the factory should be able to recommend a competant repair facility for you.
