On the Orbit, the storage tube is too short for the length of hose I have. Plus I'd still have to store the couplings elsewhere.
So I've been keeping an open eye to finding a storage location and I think I found it. I have the shorter propane tanks with a tall cover, so there is plenty of room in the top of the cover for the hose and connectors. The images are looking down into the cover. The plywood is the thin type. Have I overlooked a possible problem that could occur down the road? This message has been edited. If you have to remove your propane tanks every time you set up I'd suggest going a diferent way. There is an issue with repeatedly making good gas connections, and with eventually causing wear and cracks from repeated connection and removal.
Perhaps you could get a length of pvc pipe and put it under the trailer. I've seen a lot of very nicely made carriers using that method. |

All I do is pull the tank cover off, flip it over and remove the wood and hose.
Nothing needs to be removed or loosened for the cover to be removed, it just slides over the tanks. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Dex, 2007 21' Orbit UltraLite 2004 F250 5.4 ltr, 4x4, white, reg cab, long wheelbase. "Camping with a mtn bike trail close by" |

Looks good - I can't see anything wrong with it - other than leaking water and stuff on your propane tanks.
Another idea is to use some ABS pipe secured to the bottom of the tt back near the drain. 07 Chevy 2500HD 6.0L ,6 speed auto, 4x4, Blue Granite Metalic 05 Arctic Fox 22H "Camping in the Pacific Northwest" |

I keep my short one in the tube under my TT and keep the long one along with my fittings and flush king in a rubbermaid bin in my storage compartment.

Here is another cheap easy fix. It is slotted pipe placed on a slight incline for drainage. Works well and easy to clean.

Hose storage is a snap if you are using Sewer Solutions. 20' of hose plus fittings stores in about the same space as a 50' water hose. Plus, it doesn't create little brown fountains, does not need replacing every year and cleans itself. Wow, how nice.
