1. battery disconnect (aux) switch and it's use & purpose.
2.What to do with an awning with peeling cover?

Bell,
The battery disconnect is for use during storage. But there is still a small battery drain from dash redio, detectors, ect. Some coaches have a Master Switch in addition to the battery disconnect. Not sure about number 2 and 3, I would think a new awning and air conditioner may be in order. Most of the roof air conditioners are sealed units with not many parts for repair and replacement.

On my last motor home I had the cover off my Coleman AC and I believe the fan motor can be replaced IF you can get the two fans off the shaft(one on each end of the shaft as I recall).

Mine was a little rusty and I remember thinking that it would probably be a real job getting them off.

Awning fabric can be replaced, either by a dealer or DIY.

Usually there will be two battery disconnect switches, one for the chassis and one for the coach batteries.

The coach battery disconnect is usually a switch which operates a latching solenoid disconnecting the coach batteries during storage periods, saves your batteries.

The chassis switch is usually under the hood and often manual. It will protect your chassis battery from substantial drain and it also serves as a method to protect your coach from electrical shorts should one occur while in storage. Such as a rodent feeding on your wiring.

You might want to check out www.rvawningsonline.com

The last time I checked, they had the best prices.
