Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.Today's problem is checking tire pressure.I have tried three gages and two extentions on the rear inside tires.I've had to go to tire stores and they had to remove the chrome hub cap to read the pressure. There must be an easier way.2000 Bounder. Thanks Bill

Look at Camping World (or other RV supply stores) for tire valve extenders. I have the stainless steel braided hose type extenders and checking pressure/servicing the tires is so easy that I do it every day.
They cost about $65 installed at CW so it's very reasonable and it'll be the best $65 you'll ever spend on your rig.

Good luck,
Dave

I have the same as Catdave. They work great and it's very easy to check and add air.

Hey Arch-
This is off-topic, but how are you liking that LaPalma? The 36DBD is the exact coach I was looking at and comparing to the Allegro Bay when I was buying last year. I chose the Bay only by the slightest of margins, and it still grabs my eye everytime I see one of those LaPalmas. Had my decision gone the other way I would've been just as happy with the Monaco.
The 36DBD is a very nice coach- hope you enjoy it! Smile

Happy trails,
Dave

The only tires that I have a problem with is the outer rears where th stems face inward. I purchased a set of extender that look like a "U" and they work excellent. I think they were under $10 for the pair. The inner tires came thru from the factory with staright valve extenders. The fronts only have the tire stems which are adequate.

Captain Bud,
Do you have the 180 degree extenders or the 135 degrees on the back outers?

$10 for the pair is pretty good. My dealer's catalogue (in the Coast system) has a cost of $30 Cdn ($24 US) for a pair - which I though was unreasonable. Where did you buy yours?

Thanks

Question: I have heard that you should replace the hose type extenders every 4-5 years with new ones, along with your tires.

Any truth to that?

To whom...

Fronts and outer dualls: it's not necessary to get the U-shaped valve stems; buy a dual-foot truck gauge at any truck stop or at WalMart.

Inner dualls: no need to remove wheel covers to get at inner valve stem. The inner is reached from between the wheels. It will be necessary to lie on the ground either in front of, or behind, the wheels.

Try it, you'll like it.
