Hope I didn't step on any toes. Those are just the only pics I have ever seen that show both systems installed on the same vehicle and are the best visual representation of how they compare.

You didn't step on mine, I took all those picture for one reason, to help answer questions people might have. Sometimes a picture saves a whole lot of typing. I used to have them on yahoo but they quit hosting photos just got them moved to the new link this weekend.

Hello Don and Sarah --- many thanks for taking all of the photos ---- without doubt clears up a lot for me --- I am still in the evaluation stage in selection of a TC tie down system ----- QUESTION: Am I to assume you use both systems ( TorkLift & StableLift during your travels for extra safety ? ----- I requested a package be sent to me and expect to receive same from StableLift ---- I must admit they may not look the best but from what I have been able to gather to date it appears to be the most stable and easy to upload / load ---- and for me that is what counts ---- My only reservation in the StableLift is what if I am traveling with my wife and 10 year old son ( Connor ) and desire to take the F250 FX4 off road to camp at a stream etc I would have to believe the stableLift would be a concern --- Have you found that to be the case ? ---- and lastly would you purchase StableLift again if had to do it all over again --- Lessons Learned for us Newbees --- Again many thanks in advance --- John from Colfax NC

I like the stablelift and it does what they claim. I have used it with out the torklift tiedown and the stablelift work well. I had the torklift first so I just keep using them, just personal prefrence. I have had the stablelift sense 2004, I have had one jack failure, a gear striped got new parts with a phone call or two, even up graded the gear material so I did all three, easy fix. I drive Jeeps so the truck dose not go offroad but the lift could create some issues if the road gets rough enough. I have only drug it on one curb so far and it was an extra tall curb. I bought the lift primarly for the lift function and I realy like for that. I would buy one again, realy like it.

A bit heavy, Can cause problems if you off road camp a lot. I copyed the design and used light guage tubing and installed screw jacks ,instead of the elec jacks . works just fine , light and only cost me about 400 in material. I have then on a 8,ft sunlite slide in pop up , on a 2002 ford f25o diesel ///can fly down the road dont know it,s on my truck... happy camping b/carefull,
