Anyone know about a problem when it won't run on propane but works in A/C or D/c? Someone told our friend it needs to be turned upside down and shake it and leave it for 24 hours.

If it runs on A/C or D/C, then the boiler is being properly heated, if it doesn't run on propane, then it's a problem with the either propane not getting through, the flame not being lit or remaining lit. It doesn't need to be shook up. Have a competant person do a proper diagnosis, and for heavens sake, don't rely on "Some told a friend...", those stories can become an explosion.

You are correct my friend and that's why I'm on the forum. I also posted on the Newmar link and received a good site to read. This is someone who just got here from Seattle today and had the problem on his Bigfoot slide-in. From what I read you are also correct in that if AC and DC work the evaporator is not the issue but a burner problem. They whill investigate tomorrow and I'll report back if we find something.

If the camper had sat for any time a bug may have nested in the orfice. It may just need a cleaning.

It is common for debris from the chimney to "Flake" and drop on the burner. Just clean it and I am sure you will be OK.

if the flame stays going check for crap in the chimney just above the flame. if you dont fine anything with those items it must be 100% level front to back and side to side for a saturation coil to start working , check that. 9 out of 10 times thats all thats wrong.

Well, they cleaned the chimney, burner and all those parts, even pulled it out and turned it upside down for 24 hours. A/C and DC are OK and the gas works for 15 to 45 min then stops. They are checking the thermo-couple today. It is setting in a level concrete driveway with hookups at our friends house. Thanks everyone for some great ideas.

Okay, one more try, it could be that there's crud in the gas line fluttering around and blocking the burner orifice or, possibly the safsafety plug in the end of the propane hose may be activating, shutting off the propane..maybe. good luck. Didn't mean to sound mean when I said get someone competant, just safe. Sorry
