I have a 1970 Rollalong Camper (9 1/2 ft Sportster Model) and a 1999 Ford F-350 Super Duty, Club Cab and 8ft bed. Will the camper fit in the newer truck?
Also, the camper was outfitted with a DynaLift Loader outfit (still attached). I still have all the parts that attach to the truck. Can I still use the loader or will I need to jack it up and set it in the box? |

I'm not familiar with the Dynalift loader, so I can't speak to using that. I do know that most older campers will require a lift to clear the higher cab height of the Superduty trucks. I have a 4 inch lift bolted to the bottom of my camper to clear my 2000 F350, but you can get by with less. A cheap and easy way is to lay some 2x4's on their side and screw a piece of plywood to them. This will give you about 2 inches of lift which should be enough.
The other problem to watch out for is the clearance between the rear of the camper and the truck tailgate opening. The newer trucks have a taper from front to rear and some older campers have clearance issues at the tailgate end. Make sure to measure ahead of time or back under real slow to make sure you clear.
