Hello all,
I just bought a 2008 Bounder 35H and take delivery next week. I am a previous owner of a C class motorhome and wondered if there is anything in particular I should be looking for. Thanks in advance, Brian Jacobsen |

Well, I went from six Class Cs since 1977 to the current Class A in August 2007...what an upgrade.
You need to follow a comprehensive PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) routine BEFORE you hand over the cash or sign and take delivery. Make sure they have all systems running, all connections available, and make sure they know you plan on spending a few hours examining everything...to not do this on a new RV is suicidal...too many things get overlooked on a dealer walk thru, and getting things corrected AFTER the sale will test your patience. If needed, I can point you to the PDI I've used, I found a dozen small things on my last new Class C purchase in 2003, and had them fix them before I left...never had to return. Best of luck, and welcome to the Class A world and the Fleetwood family of owners. PDI Checklist I've Used It applies to RVs in general. 2005 Bounder 34F Class A - 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Toad |

Congratulations on your new coach. From one Bounder owner to another, WELCOME to the family!
I'm sure you'll enjoy your Bounder as much as we do ours. Many safe travels & wonderful memories. If your front grill bars whistle like a flute at highway speeds, check to see if the ends are sealed. Grill bars being hollow were an issue with our coaches in the past (including ours) that our dealer remedied by plugging the ends with silicone. Hopefully FW took care of this on newer years. The big day was this past Friday. We then loaded it up and went for a drive of about 150 miles. It was a lot of fun. Everything seems to be working fine.
I just have one question. On ours at the entry step area, there are a series of light switches. The one on the bottom right (next to the awning retract) says "light" and when switched on, does nothing. Does anyone know what this is supposed to do. All the lights around the entry and inside the vehicle are able to be switched on and off with other switches. There doesn't seem to be anything missing. Thanks Brian |

Probably that switch controls a ceiling light that can be turned on with that switch IF the switch on the ceiling light is ALSO on.Otherwise,as you have found,it does "diddly".Have great times with your new motorhome.
