We have just upgraded to a 2002 Bounder from an 1981 Class C and are planning to use it this weekend. Unfortunately I haven't had a bunch of time to familiarize myself with everything as it has been at the shop getting some work done and routine maintenance since I made the purchase.
I've been going through the manuals and one thing I am not certain of and haven't found an answer as yet to is we have a couple of switches one is labeled Washer/Dryer on one end and Water Heater on the other. The second switch has microwave on one side and water heater on the other. Does this mean I have to shut off my water heater to use the microwave?
Yes. You have a 30A (3600 watt) limit on your available shore power and there simply isn't enough power to operate all your appliances at the same time. If you want the microwave to be powered at all times, operate the water heater in LP gas mode. But if you use the microwave only occasionally, leave the water heater on electric use the switch as required. The water in the tank will stay hot for a long time, so you don't have to rush to turn it back on.

You don't have enough electric power to run the electric water heater at the same time as the washer/dryer. Therefor you have to choose between them with the switch. Run the water heater on propane while washing clothes and your choice while not using the w/d. I would just set it on w/d, turn the water heater on propane, and forget it! JMHO!
