Just wondering if anyone would know where I might get a manual for a 1989 Southwind We are
planning to buy it but it has no manual.

went to the fleetwood site and could not find any.

The "Southwind' manual itself is generic RV stuff and almost useless even if you find one. All the real info is in a set of separate suitcase full manuals that cover all the individual components that went into the coach, e.g. water heater, fridge, water pump, furnace, engine, dashboard controls, etc. Most of these are available online but you will need the make and model numbers of each thing to locate them.
