Turns out this was temporary. After working for a couple of fills, I am back to where I started and have great problems filling the tank even at slow rates. If I drive the motorhome (left rear wheels) up on a 5" ramp I can at lest fill at a slow rate.

If the "fix" was only temporary, then you still have a low spot in the fuel tank vent line that is getting plugged with fuel and stopping the vent process. The dealer emptied it out, so it worked a fill-up or two, but soon enough fuel splashed back into it to stop the vent again.

Many gas lines run the vent back to the filler neck just under the cap, so when fuel back splashes it runs down the vent and settles in the vent line unless there is enough angle to let it drain all the way back to the tank. Jacking up the back of the coach sometimes does that.

You may need to change the vent location so it doesn't get fuel in it all the time, but you aren't supposed to let the gas fumes vent into the atmosphere (EPA rules) and it could even be dangerous if you vented it some place where the fumes accumulated under the rear cap. Keep pushing on Fleetwood and the chassis manufacturer to provide a workable and safe solution.

This does make a lot of sense. Thanks for your response. So far Fleetwood have been very co-operative. I have an appointment in a couple of weeks and now I can have the RV Tech guys really focus on a specfic solution.

Was going to chime in to say our 08 Fleetwood Fiesta has never had any slow fueling issues, possibly fixed from 07 at the factory? Not sure, but one thing is for sure, this rig is a lot of fun!!!!!

This may sound really simple but hold the nozzle sideways in the 3:00 or 9:00 o'clock position, gently squeeze the trigger to get a half rate fill for about 15 secs and then you should be able to lock it and let go. If there is a trigger lock.

Slow fill is not exclusive to Fleetwood. My Dolphin is very particular about pump fill nozzles. Some shut off at any flow over a trickle while other station's nozzles will allow me to use the trigger lock. I usually have to hand hold the trigger and find the sweet spot between faster flow and shut-off. Also, the fill is on the rear of the coach, which makes it a real pain to always have to pull up just past the pump. I have to scout the station layout real well to be sure I don't block myself or someone else. Fill-ups are always an adventure.

My daughter's inlaws have a 2007 Terra LX. He had the same problem. Fleetwood had the fuel tank replaced. Freightliner replaced the fuel tank and told him that Fleetwood had used frames intended for a Class C on their Class A's. This fixed the problem.

I have a 1998 Pace Arrow and I have the same problem. I have tried raising the rear and it works sometimes, but not all the time.

Good idea to try moving the nozzle to various positions. Sometimes when I move the nozzle around I can feel the air coming out beside the nozzle. When this happens I get a much better fill rate.
Also, some Chevron stations have a rubber collar which covers the filler neck. That is a complete non-starter and I know that I just have to find another station.

Aside from the slow fill problem our Fiesta LX is a great rig. We just love it. There is clearly many years of experience in the design and functionality of the rig.

I took the rig back in for the 3rd visit to fix my very slow fuel fill rate problem. After a week the RV Tech calls and says the problem is fixed. He said the air vent hose was too long. So, I go and pick up the rig... Take it to my favorite gas station and guess what. As soon as the gas flow starts the nozzle kicks back and stops. Arg... I go back to the dealer and give him the bad news. He says let me come with you and we will try and reproduce the problem. So we go to his favorite gas station and I put the nozzle in, turn it on full blast and no kick back. It works.. So I reckon it is because rig is not level, so I turn the rig around and try again and of course it works again.
I never did like hardware, I have always been a software guy and this is why.
