I have a new 2008 Bounder diesel 38N which has three slides. The slide in te front on street side goes down level with the floor. The opposing one on the curb side goes out fine but does not drop down to the coach floor level. Is this normal?
Thank you in advance .
JK

If it is a kitchen slide, then the answer is yes!

I've got 08 38S and my kitchen (curb side) slide is flat with the floor when fully extended. You say its not flat, is it all the way extended? Does the slide wall butt up to mh wall?

John

Just returned from my visit to my 38N.

As I mentioned earlier, the galley lower cabinet is raised 2-3 inches above the floor just like the lower kitchen cabinets at home. This is true with the slide in or out.

Just like the ones at home, this serves a purpose in that you can stand just a bit closer to the cabinet than you would be able to without this "toe kick" space.

This space is a bit tight and I can see possible trouble recovering the odds and ends that may disappear into it. But, I would add that I don't think I would want the cabinet flat on the floor.

As for the love seat forward of the cabinet, There is a upholstered panel attached to the lower seat frame that has two heater vents cut into it. The bottom of this panel covers the inside edge of the floor of the slide. When the slide is out, it gives the appearance that the floor is flat, but is actually masking the fact that it is not.

So, the floor of the slide does not become flush with the floor of the coach when the slide is out, but I couldn't tell until I went looking. From my perspective, I think Fleetwood did a good job with it.

Thank you both for investigating and confirming that I do not need to drive 200 miles return to the dealer for a non issue.
Much appreciated.
