Hey John. I responded to your prior post. I've got a 38S w/3 slides. They all go flat to the floor.

Thank you.
This is so strange as the brochue shows your and my floor plan to be the same. Yours goes flat and mine doesn't.
I called fleetwood and they claim that because it is a kitchen slide it does not go flat. Now I am really confused.Think I will need to visit my dealer as he has another one that I can compare with.
Thanks again.

John,

To be honest, I never paid any attention to whether or not the floor is flat when the slides are out, but I do recall the kitchen cabinet is raised a few inches from the floor (just like at home) with the slide in or out.

The love seat forward of the cabinet has two furnace vents in the "kick panel" , but because I paid more attention to that, I don't recall if the slide is flush with the floor.

I do plan to visit the 38N tomorrow (storage). I'll post again then.

SSteve

Yes, it is normal for the galley slide not to drop flat. The plumbing is complex enough as it is without trying to allow for a 2" drop at the end of the travel.

Just returned from my visit to my 38N.

As I mentioned earlier, the galley lower cabinet is raised 2-3 inches above the floor just like the lower kitchen cabinets at home. This is true with the slide in or out.

Just like the ones at home, this serves a purpose in that you can stand just a bit closer to the cabinet than you would be able to without this "toe kick" space.

This space is a bit tight and I can see possible trouble recovering the odds and ends that may disappear into it. But, I would add that I don't think I would want the cabinet flat on the floor.

As for the love seat forward of the cabinet, There is a upholstered panel attached to the lower seat frame that has two heater vents cut into it. The bottom of this panel covers the inside edge of the floor of the slide. When the slide is out, it gives the appearance that the floor is flat, but is actually masking the fact that it is not.

So, the floor of the slide does not become flush with the floor of the coach when the slide is out, but I couldn't tell until I went looking. From my perspective, I think Fleetwood did a good job with it.

A couple of questions:
1)Does your 38N have an Antenna Booster switch?
2)Do you use your satelite dish? If so with Dish or Direct TV? If Dish do both 119 and 110 show when you run the switch test?

I have a 07 Bounder 35E gasser. I do have a booster switch and it works well. My KVH seems to only find one SAT(119). Does anyone have a suggestion?

Which KVH model do you have? Not all KVH domes will support multiple satellites. ANother possibility is that the dome can do two satellites but has been programmed to do only 119. A call to KVH Customer Support can tell you that, but you will need the model and serial number for the dome.

Korryp,

Sorry it took so long to answer your questions...her goes.

1. If I have an Antenna Booster switch, I don't know where it is. (Not much help)

2. I don't currently use the satellite dish, but am deciding on which company to use for service. (Not much help either)

Sorry,
Steve
