Does anyone else had problems with the decals and paint on their Southwind. Our Decals are falling off and we are looing for solutions. You would think that they would last longer than they have. We started to have the problem about 2 years after buying the coach new. Fleetwood just ingnored us and would not do anything. Any input would be apreciated on what we can do to restore it.

sandra welcome to irv2 Wave
Have you checked out a paint and decal shop to try and make the coach new again.
The paint will take a beating on lower third of coach but I think they can restore it to the way you would like it. Decals will start to lift, even on mine, they may have a better detail on a new set of decals. Someone in the Vintage Forum may have already done this, I will short cut your question to that forum. Paint is fine, but decal is cracking on the passenger side, and dull on both sides. I used goo gone to clean up some tape residue and noticed that it helped brighten the decal. I may try it again and see if it helps.

There is not much you can do except scrape off the chipped/fading decals and have a design of your choice painted on in place of it. There are also some outfits that make custom decals - one such is RVStripes.com. You can find more (and also some RV paint shops) by Googling RV custom decals.
