I'm looking at a lot of tag axles, one of which is an American Coach Eagle.

Can you guys tell me what you think of the American Coach - any Eagle owners?

I like the looks. How's the ride and handling on a Spartan Liberty chassis?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Bud,
We have an 2003 American Eagle on a Mountain Master chassis. Have not had it very long, it drives and handles great. We have had other Diesel Pushers and drove several others.
To me Spartan drives & handles very good.

Hi Bud,
I do not have a tag axle coach, but do have a Spartan Mountain Master GT chassis. I did a lot of research on chassis from people that owned many brands of chassis. The Spartan was the winner in ride, fewer problems, and higher towing. Talked to a lot of NASCAR and NHRA people that use their class A to tow the "weekend warrior" to the race and a coach with a Spartan was the choice. That is why I chose the 2006 Fleetwood Revolution LE for my next coach. I am pleased with what I bought.

We have an 04 American Tradition, with many of the options that are standard on the Eagle. We love it - a heck of a coach by any measure. Ours is on the Liberty chassis but it is the Freightliner version (no longer offered), so cannot comment on the Spartan ride.

Probably the best thing about American is the factory service and support. American coaches of any vintage are welcome at the Decatur factory service facility and the work done there is outstanding. And not very expensive either. And American Coach has ofetn provided post warranty repairs at little or no charge as well. They also willingly provide information and technical advice on any age AC coach - help is just a phone call away.

The American Coach Owners group on Yahoo is also a strong one and an excellent resource for AC owners. I suggest you inquire there how folks like their coach.
