We can't seem to get coach to run on plugged in power. Only option we have is to run off batteries. Is there a switch that we are missing that can be used to convert power so we are not running off battery?

It would help a lot to know the make, model and year of your coach.

Yes, you need to leave the main and aux. switches on at all times unless you are storing your MH for an extended period of time. Can you hear the relays click when you cycle the switches. Have you checked your converter to see if it's producing 12 volt power?

Nearly all interior & exterior lighting and such runs off 12v whether you are plugged to shore power or not. When on shore power, the converter/charger supplies 12v to the coach wiring and charges the batteries simultaneously. So in that sense, you are always running from "batteries", i.e. 12v power. In essence the converter/charger replaces the battery power as fast as you use it.

Do you have reason to believe the converter/charger system is not working?
