Hi, I'm hoping to find the wheelbase lengths for 32 ft. and 34 ft. Bounders from the 1996 thru 1999 age range. Our problem is deciding if we can get backed into our kid's driveways when we visit then in the Wash DC area. If you can help with things like turning radius, etc. I would appreciate it very much. Any input would be helpful. We are really thinking a Bounder is the way to go. Thanks

Hi HarveyP,

My 95 32' Bounder is on a 190" wheel base. The 34' Bounders are on a 208" wheel base. Some 35' models came on a 228" wheel base. Not sure what wheel base was used on 36' and above. They all had tag axles. The numbers that I quoted are for the older F53s with 460. 99 models and above are all on the newer chassis with V10. Hope this helps.

Harvey...Can't help you about the Bounder 'cause I have a 99 Fleetwood Southwind 34 footer.. Because of the sameness of the coaches, I'll tell you that mine is built on a 208 in wheelbase. No tag axle on mine.

Thanks friends, this is exactly the sort of info I've been seeking. We got our 26 ft Class C backed into the kids driveways and back yards, but really want a Bounder. The floorplan we want seems to start at the 32 ft to get both couch and lounge chair. The 34 ft is tempting also, but we're a little afraid we can't get in where we want to be. Any and all further comments and suggestions will be most welcomed. Thanks to all of you reading and participating, HarveyP

SNEAKY TRICK that works.

Go to an RV lot and measure the rig you want.

Go down to Home Depot. Get enough 1/2" plastic pipe and fittings 90^ angles and couplings" to make an outline of your desired coach. NOTE: press together, don't glue. Get the family to lift the plastic outline waist high and try to manuver it in and out of your place.

When you are done, take the plastic pipes and fittings all apart and take any that you didn't have to cut to length back to Home Depot and get your money back.

Should only set you back around $10 for the 10' lengths of pipe you had to cut and can't take back.
