Has anyone had problems with the windshield leaking? Our RV has water literally pouring in on the drivers side. The windshield will have to be replaced. The glass company said it is probably a manufacturing defect. Wondered if anyone else has had this problem.

No problems with my 04. What year is yours? Make sure Fleetwood gets a look at it. Even if its out of warranty you may be able to get them to fix a mfg. defect, but you'll need proof.

No problems here after 4 yrs.. I think most are asking what year to know if new? MHs generally have a list of items to fix after purchase. Some can be seen others can not until put in use.

Hopefully dealer of Fleetwood took care of you! Smile

Most likely the windshield merely needs to be re-seated, not replaced. Any competent glass company ought to be able to do it.

However, there have been a few instances where the front cap was out of spec in some way and the windshield simply would not fit right, no matter what the installer did. This is not a specific Southwind problem - it has come up an other brands as well. Once in awhile somebody screws up and this sort of problem occurs.

We had a 96 Southwind that would twist enough to pop the windshield loose if I jacked the front end too high (wheels off the ground). We stopped doing that and didn't have any more problems with windshield leaks.
