We are the happy new owners of an 02 Bounder 36S on the W22 chassis after a significant upgrade from a 1981 Class C.

So far leveling has been a problem for me, on the class C I just used leveling blocks so I have no prior experience with Power Gear hydraulic systems.

Each time I level based on the manual (front jacks down, then rear and then set side to side)I seem to be placing some torque on the chassis as my coach door will bind, also the washroom door that separates the bedroom area does not line up on the catch.

I've tried starting over and making sure I lift the front more so that the side to side can pivot as per the manual but have not had any success. Any tips or thoughts on this?

I had the same problem with mine when they were new to me. You are probably doing what I did, "too much". First look for a level site so that you do not need so much side to side leveling. Then lower the front jacks just enough to solidly touch the ground. Next lower the rear jacks just enough to make substantial contact. The raising of the rear jacks will put more weight on the front jacks. Now check the side to side but don't mess with it unless it is absolutely necessary. You don't have to be perfect. Wait a bit for the jacks to settle in and if the coach rocks more than you like, touch it up a bit using only the front and back controls.
Using the side to side controls will always cause the frame to twist because they only put pressure on the back jacks. They do not put any pressure on the front jacks at all. So it will always twist the frame. Don't use it unless absolutely necessary, and then only just enough! If you go outside and find that you have a wheel off the ground, MOVE to a more level site!
When parked on gravel, I have found that a set of pads help stop the jacks from sinking and causing the coach to rock in a few hours.
I think if I were designing a jack controller, I would have the side controls put equal pressure on both the front and back jacks on a side. But I am not a jack designer, so what do I know?!

Thanks Jerry, I'll give it another go this weekend. I was nowhere near having a wheel off the ground which is why I was confused, as I really wasn't doing much leveling at all.
