Hello, we are Peggy and Dennis Parish, we just bought a 2004 36B Fleetwood Pace arrow. I love the way it looks. Other than the small carrying capicity has anyone had any problems with this or does anyone our there have one of these? I see a 37C any tips. We traded in our 2000 Fleetwood Storm we have had for four years now.. The difference between the load is a pain means we dump allot of stuf. thanks for any help. Peggy

I too welcome you to the Forum. As can be seen in our signature we also have a 2004 36B. I didn't pay that much attention to the CCC when we bought it. Later, after loading up for a couple of winter snow bird trips I realized the problem. What I ended up doing was to do a realistic weight calculation. I made sure we only carry a small amount of water while traveling. Usually no more then a 1/4 tank. I calculated that weight reducing the difference from the CCC. I made sure we only take what's necessary to get from location to location. i.e., don't load the refrig to max, etc. I built a spread sheet to calculate all my cargo. Don't forget things like your tow bar.
Last but not least once you have it figured out, make sure your loaded the way you travel and go get it weighed on all four corners. Many of the Cat Scales at Flying J, Pilot and TA Centers can weight individual wheels. Mine came in at 3,750 left front, 3,800 right front, 6,950 left rear, 7,035 right rear. You can't get it exact though. Adjust your tire pressures according to the heaviest side. This came in at Actual GVW of 21,535. That makes me 465 lbs under the 22,000 GVW. With my tow vehicle at 3,600 lbs and tow bar weight of 60 lbs I'm at a GCW of 25,195. 805 lbs under the 26,000 lbs GCWR. I've also made some changes to the inside. I added two more batteries, a large inverter and three solar panels. This added about 180 lbs to the front right side weight. The above weights I listed include these. We also removed the coach and large recliner. Replaced the coach with a smaller love seat. This shaved off quite a few lbs. The coach and recliner weighed about 200 lbs. The above weights don't show this change, I need to have it re-weighed. If you have any particular questions let me know. I've done a lot to our 36B. Welcome Peggy & Dennis,
Hope you find this forum as informitive as I have found it. I had a 2005 Pace Arrow 37C that I had to not carry water on trips so I had more CCC. I just traded for a Fleetwood Revolution 40L with Quad slides and a lot more CCC and a 15000 lb tow cap. So far this is just what I needed, altho I do miss my Pace Arrow. Everything Bob posted is what I did with my PA. Good Luck with your "new" coach. Richard 2006 Revolution 40L, 400HP Cat C9, Allison 6 speed, Spartan Chassis, Aero-Turbine Muffler |

Oh come on Richard... I bet you don't miss it too much. How about while pulling up a long hill, do you miss all that wonderful engine noise? And what about the ride?
If I could afford it I'd do exactly what you did. Bob 2004 Fleetwood 36B Pace Arrow/Workhorse W22 UltraPower Performance ECM w/Cold Air Intake, '04 Colorado Pickup FMCA F291896 US Navy - Carrier Battlegroup '59/'63 Amateur Radio - WA0MQE |

Yes Bob, the engine fan I do not miss. The power to pull hills and the ride are much better. The pass through storage is a plus as are the quad slides. But if I had to go back to a gasser it would be a Pace Arrow only on a W24 chassis.
