Bob, what we want is a floor plan they now make in a smaller model than we wish. But they have the plan on the drawing board for exactly what we need. So Tom spent the time getting every nitty gritty thing answered and recorded so that as soon as we have a sales contract on the property and they have the new floor plan off the drawing board, we will be able to call Tom and say GO !!!
It was your influence that made us go ahead and work with Howard RV, your experience with them with all your dealings was a great testimonial to their care and reputation. Other dealers we have seen were not interested once they realized that this sale has a pendeing start date. Everyone at Howard RV could not have been nicer or more helpful. Doing this at the convention allowed us to talk to the factory rep. who will have to understand our needs and with Tom who now knows understands. And have both rigs there to check all details out. That is a great relief and NOW all we need is our elusive SALE!! 2001 Travel Supreme 36' Tow 2001 PT Cruiser |

Colette, I must say that the family aspect of Howard RV's deep family history led me even closer to them...John Howard Sr. is the founder, who by the way I had the EXTREME PLEASURE of meeting the last time I was there. John Jr. and his sister "run" the operation now and John's niece even works there in the summer...EVERYBODY there is personable, polite and ready and willing to do WHATEVER they can to help solve a problem...
In my days there I got to "messing" with the parts specialist there, a fellow named Gerald Whitley. HE was one of the ones whose car was damaged/destroyed by all the flooding. Gerald has customers that call him from all over the U.S., just to say hi and he even has a WALL of postcards from customers... Funny story time....Gerald has one particular customer that calls and chats and this customer ALWAYS asks Gerald "how's the weather where you are" and then they discuss where the customer is and so forth...Well, one day a month or so ago the customer calls and says "Gerald, hows the weather where you are and Gerald said "fine" and asked how the weather was where "he was" and the fellow says "about the same, look at the door I'm standing right here"!! THAT was a funny story and Gerald got as big a kick out of telling it again. Sorry I rambled on, I just know you guys will be tickled with your new coach and the service and support of Howard RV. |
