and the Brooksville Rally is right down the road. I am debating if I should go. Should I take my rig and camp or just go by the day? I am only in my mid 40s and kids are still in school so I will be going solo. Is there a lot to do? Please help. I am intrigued but not sure if it is for me.

It's a good sized rally, with some good seminars and vendors.

If you're not interested in the seminars, then 1 day is plenty.

If you have friends to camp with, then take the rig, other than that, daily entry is fine.

Route 66, thanks. Is there one day you recommend over another? I haven't been able to find a schedule of events.

I'm not going this year, so I don't have a schedule of events.

Perhaps a call to FMCA could get you that info.

Might I suggest Thursday as a day to visit if that is the day of the annual "parade". The parade always has been entertaining. Of course the vendors, displays, seminars etc are still happening as well.

BJBKKB: Not intending to discourage you, but it will cost you $99.00 to get in. That price allows you daily admission plus access to all the seminars and entertainment for the duration, but it seems like a lot to pay if you can only go walk around ONE day. I'm not sure why they don't offer a one day pass. If I'm wrong, hopefully someone will post a correction. ED

All, thanks. Seems like it might be worth attending the whole event given the fee. See you there.

Welcome to the RV world. Mid 40s? We always like the young-uns too.
I agree that for the bucks, you might as well come for the entire rally, with your toad. (that's the Honda Element you listed) Park, set up ahd take the toad home for the family if necessary, or let them come up to visit. Being a new owner, or at least an owner of a "new" RV, I think you'll find many seminars to help you understand your rig better, and foresee some of the potential problems, and discuss RVing with those of us who've been there, are there, and intend to keep going there.

Best of luck, and looking to see you there.
