Okay, we've been FMCA members for a couple of years and have NEVER been to a FMCA Rally of any kind. Just hasn't worked out yet.

However, the stars and planets appear to be heading toward proper alignment and we may get to attend the October Rocky Mountain Ramble in Farmington, NM.

Any tips? Recommendations?

Looks as though the weather will probably be cooler than a Texas Summer, so we'll have to find our "long pants!" Do you think blue jeans and cowboy boots will be fine?

Appreciates your thoughts . . . thanks. Maybe with your help we won't stand out as such rookies Cute

Warren & Debbie,

My sweetie (Eileen) and I are thinking of attending the NM rally also. We have been to Farmington coming back from Salt Lake, but not during a rally, so we will be following this message board to see what it's all about. I hope someone who has attended this rally will be kind enough to enlighten all of us about this rally!

Best to you and yours - Glenn

Looks like Farmington's average high during October is 65 degF with an average low of 35 degF. Better pack your woolies!!

Wondering . . . are these fancy events?

Do we wear Sunday-Go-To-Meetin' woolies (of which we have NONE), or will just Plain-Folk woolies get us by?

Warren,
Eileen and I are going to leave McKinney, early Sunday morning, Oct. 12, spend the night in Amarillo, and arrive at the Farmington Fairgrounds late Monday afternoon. If you and Debbie are still planning to go, let us know and maybe we can caravan together to the Rally.
You are welcome to call us (972-542-9696) or email: "glenn AT oem-engineering DOT com"

Best to you - Glenn

Glenn,

Thanks so much for your offer . . . after no FMCA-veterans responded, we just kinda forgot about it and never did make plans to attend the rally. Instead we will be headed to Kansas City via the ozarks about that time.

However, we will be interested in your thoughts about the Farmington trip --- please fill us in once you return.

Farmington NM is one of my favorite stops.
You are close to many natural sights unlike any other in the US.
It is located just minutes from Aztec, NM and a short drive to DURANGO, CO.
This area (4 corners) is a main focal point of the NAVAJO NATION.
From I-40 you can take a interesting ride north to Farmington thru the NATION.
This is one place we visit yearly on our trip encompassing the USA.
You will notice advertising billboards along the highway in a foriegn skript. No influx of alliens here, at least from this world. You are the allien. This is the NAVAJO NATION.
We will be in ABQ on Oct 8th to join BOB LEE & his wife along with 49 other COUNTRY COACH's.
The Lee's have secured the PRESIDENTS LOT for CC at the 2008 BALLOON FESTIVAL.
Do be careful driving in NM, especialy at night.
