New HereI just joined FMCA today, don't even have my number as yet. However, I have been looking at the various chapters around the country with the intent to join one of them at some time. My dilema is this; I am a fulltimer and don't really have a "home state". I was born and raised in Connecticut, lived in New York for 4 years and Ohio for 22 and have a South Dakota mailing address Confused. Now I'm on the road and I'm wondering is there an At Large or Fulltimer chapter, if not, should there be? Any recommendations as to which chapter to join?

Thanks

Tincup

If you are able to attend the National Rally in Charlotte in August, one of the days there will be a Chapter day, and all the Chapters will have booths and a chance to chat and figure it all out.

Hi, I know what you mean.I've lived in Wash. D.C.,Md,Va, W.V., Tenn., N.Y., ME.,TX.,AZ.,And I am getting ready to go on the road again. Where do I live? Well, My drivers license is Arizona With a FMCA mail fowarding state address of Ohio. Same for the tags! Now You ask me where I live, and the answer will be Anywhere,USA!!All the other stuff is just minor hassles of life,But the lifestyle of fulltimeing, is a new found freedom, I can only live but have a hard time describing. When I'm not on the road I'm in...Jail! Thats where I've been for three years,or at least thats the way it feels.Watching one rig after another go down the road wanting to do just that..go down the road.I've got the coach almost done and the toad is getting there too. When October gets here,It will be 'OUR' turn!!The other fulltimers out there can understand what i said,In time you may too! When you start,it won't take long and you will ask' Why didn't I start this sooner?'Deb and I both have traveled quite a lot, both in the military and with the family.Deb and I talk alot about all the places we've been and how many times we we're at the same place at the same time.We finally Met, It was like we had been together all those years. Now that we are together, we have seen most of the country with our old motorhome and we always see things in the first tince.Never does it seem the same O'le,same O'le.
Sorry ,I forget myself some times.Lets just say We love camping and leave it at that.
Have a good one!! Big Grin Bandit

Thanks for the information regarding the rally. Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it, however I do plan on being at the next one. This August it will be Sturgis. I've been camping for many years but I'm not much of a "joiner" of clubs and organizations. I am a member of the WCC and it looks like their going to become affiliated with FMCA so I thought I'd join them as well. Being a confirmed bachelor, I had some reservations about joining a "Family" oriented group. I have nothing against families, everyone should have at least one but I've had some very cold receptions by couples in my travels. I guess the guy thinks I'm after his wife, and his wife thinks the only reason I'm pleasant is to take advantage of her. Aeh I'm 62 years young and still haven't figured that one out Confused

Oh well, I'm looking forward to the FMCA experience. Thanks to all for comments and suggestions.

Hi there, TINCUP:
IF your Bounder is built on a Workhorse chassis, we would love to have you as a member of the WCMC CHAPTER of FMCA (also part of the "International Area" due to its national scope). Please give the club's new leadership a chance to get rolling. You'll be seeing lots more info here on iRV2.com and can also check out club activities at:www.wcmc.workhorse.com ED
