Thanks for the reply. That was the problem I found - the width. I ended up removing the rivet entirely. So far, so good. Time will tell if this makes them too flimsy or not. CW wants $32 each and NAPA wants $40. So I figured at $9 from Wally World, it was worth a try to modify them. I kept the original blades and if the new ones don't work out, I will remove the rubber inserts and put them in the old blades.
