I have always found a good supply of quality blades at NAPA, but I`m sure there are others.
I would imagine you could find some at the larger truck stops. `02 Dutch Star-W22 `02 CRV Toad, SMI stay & play, Bilsteins, Supersteer, Davis Tru-trac, Safety Plus |

My Allegro has 26" blades. I bought 2 rain ex (or something like that)for around $5 each. took a little work, actually very simple to fit them to the existing arm. They work just as good as the original and a lot cheaper than the $26 each I was quoted.

Wal-Mart, They have up to 26 inch. Rain-ex, Anco, and some off brand that I can't recall the name of. I use the 26 inch off brand, and change about every two years.

Thanks for the suggestions.
Can I replace just the rubber inserts, or do you have to replace the arm assembly as well Have to do it today, let it rain, let it rain! Current Location: Kerrville, Texas 2006 Allegro 34WA 2007 Nissan Sentra 2006 Master Tow Dolly HD80 1999 Aquasport 21 Explorer |

Dieselclacker, do your arms accept the clip-on style or are they bolt-on? Our Bay has still has the split windshield and uses the type that bolts to a small "U" channel at the end of the arm. Some of the brands of blades have a 3/16" dia. hole to accept the bolt, but they are all a little too wide to fit in the "U" channel. 05 Allegro Bay 37DB W24 06 Saturn Vue V6 AWD Blue Ox Adventa LX Tow Bar Brake Pro Visit Our Blog http://here4now.typepad.com/here4now/ |

If you buy your wipers at a parts store, they should have adaptor kits for the different brands under the counter. Just take the old wipers in and tell them to get that box out from under the counter to adapt the wiper to what ever you need. They should not charge you for the adaptor parts you need as they get them for free.

I too, have the split windshield model. One arm developed a fracture at one of the two drilled holes for alignment. Had to make a splint with ducttape & a ballpoint pen. Now know of several others with similar failures in the same fashion.
Was lucky to spot the failure "before" it scratched the glass! Inspect your arms with each blade change. I will keep a mounted blade set as a spare; I would hate to spend any length of time out in the downpour on the road, trying to fish the rubber into place. 2004 Tiffin 34XB,Workhorse.22K,8.1L,Gas Saturn SL |

Paz, I had to gently "message" the replacement blade with the bench grinder in order to accomodate the width. I have the same style arm as you describe. Not a problem and they work really well, at less than half price of original blades. Some Wally Worlds also carry replacement inserts for original equipment blades, unfortunatly our local store does not. Also I went with 2 inch longer blades than stock. Dieselclacker |
