Joe,

Beautiful coach. Cheeky Question, does anyone use the spotlight?

I thought the spotlight was going to be useless but it came as standard equipment. I've used it a few times but the only time I really needed it was when I took the dog out late at night in bear country. I didn't want the bear to have to eat us in the dark. Jester

It's okay if you have it but I don't think I'd spend the money on it if it was an option. However, I keep toying with the idea of mounting a small pencil style video camera on it that I could pan and tilt for security purposes and also to check overhead clearances and what just went "bump" on the roof.

Joe-K,

Thanks for the info. Went to the License center today and after the four people there took 15 minutes to figure it out I am now in the possession of a learner's permit. Good for 1 year. Have to call to schedule my road test. No written test but they said I should understand the air brake section of the CDL study book. We all gonna have some fun now!

Thanks!

I went deer spotting last night, sitting in the driveway, does that count? Big Grin

There'e been a couple times over the years when we've been hunting our site in a dark state park that I couldn't see site numbers as by the time you get close enough to them, the headlights don't shine out the side of the rig and the site numbers are on the electric boxes. There, I imagine it would have been helpful, but other than that, I doubt it would get used very often.

Bill,

Glad they finally got things straightened out.....it's better to be safe than sorry. The air brake section in the commercial drivers manual is actually very good reading. The officer giving you the driving test will ask you about air brakes where you'll tell him how you pump the brakes to make sure they emergency brake comes on....that you observe the air tanks pump up at a certain speed, hold the pedal and observe the pressure not dropping.

It's pretty straight forward, but very good in increasing your general knowledge of the brake system.

Thanks Cruzer & Joe Cool

Due to BJ's fibromyalgia we generally keep our travel days to under 250 miles. Most days this will put us in by 3 or 4. My unit doesn't have one, so naturally I want one, but don't think I really need it or would find much use for it, except to scare away the bears Laugh . Last one I used the car had Police painted on the side. Action
