If it is really bad WD40 can get you back on track. Then glass cleaner with paper towel to maintain it.

I don't know of anything that really cleans SS. On our first motor home we had SS and it always showed finger prints and stuff all the time. On the next motor home the "Boss" made it a point of making sure that the SS was deep sixed.
My wife read an article on stainless steel cleaners and the #1 rated product was Weiman Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish. She was able to find it a Publix grocery store. It works great!!
When I worked for Casey's years ago, we used a spray product called "Shimmer". Don't know where you can get it, or even if it's still available, but it worked WONDERFULLY! Shined things up so they looked like new. And this was in a busy convienence store kitchen.

I agree that Weiman's SS spray is the best that I have found. Glass cleaner streaks on my SS. Weiman's can also be used on ceramic cooktops.
