We will be trading up to a Allegro Bus but have a question on the chassis used. Which chassis is better a Freightliner or the Sparten on a 43' tag axle? and why as we will be ordering our new home and can specify which chassis.
Thanks

I had a Freightliner on my '04 Bus but I now have the Spartan on my '07 Bus. I tested them both and checked them over and personally feel the Spartan is a better choice. They both ride well and handle okay. I feel the Spartan has a slight edge in handling but that's always a subjective thing. As an old diesel mechanic I can pretty well recognize quality when I see it. Spartan seems to do a better job of sweating the details than Freightliner. Steel coolant overflow tanks versus plastic (I went through 3 of them on the Freightliner), more substantial accessory mounting brackets and easier to access service locations, better customer response from a company who's more service driven, larger cooling system, etc. We're much happier with our Spartan.

We were at the Tiffin factory this week and took the tour. I am impressed with Tiffin, how do you like your coach? We are looking at the 43Qrp.

We love our coach. We had good success with our 2004 Bus and after refining our needs and wants we found that the 2007 42QRP perfectly fit out needs. We wouldn't give up what we have now (especially the pre-ULSD engine Wink ) for anything else on the market. The Allegro Bus is a well built coach that performs well and has an excellent balance of features and amenities versus cost.

The 43QRP is a great contender and probably will unseat the 42QRP as the reigning floorplan, mainly because it offers the mid-ship TV location as available.
