Lou, Can you explain more about how the 35tsb is already wired for it?
Thanks, Bill |

We did not have an outside tv on our last coach and did not know if we would use one very much, so, on our new 2008 42' phaeton we did not get the in-slide tv option. We did however install a tv in the given basement space. We have found we like that very much, and are glad we did not go for the in-slide vertion. We have found that you would end up with a sore neck trying to see the tv way up there, and would need a large rv site in order to get back far enough to use. also on a Phaeton , the drop-down awning is not an option. In the mesa AZ. park we are in now, if we had the wall mount we would not be able to see the tv from mid-day till sundown.
Good Luck!!! |

Bill, My 04 already had 12V and A/C outlets in the front passenger side compartment, including a cable hook-up, I am sure that is what Lou was talking about. I am unsure if this is standard or not, but the Tiffin models I have looked at had this. Lenny and Chrissy 2 kids & 2 dogs 2004 Tiffin Phaeton 40 w/330Cat 2003 Wrangler Freedom |

We have a 2008 Bus that came with the outside PS slide mounted LCD TV. We don't use it much but when we do it is great especially when DW is napping and I want to be outside and watch a show or a game. If I had ordered the coach I would not have gotten it but we had not choice. I guess it might help on resale when the time comes.
We do like having the old PS forward compartment now open for storage. That is where our lawn chairs and related stuff goes. 2008 Allegro Bus, 42ft QDP, 2007 Spartan chassis, RS3000 Xantrex inverter, 2001 Acura MDX Toad, Blue Ox baseplate, Blue Ox Aventa LX towbar, SMI Silent Partner, Toad Charge, Cobra WX75, Garmin GPS/XM |

I also passed on the outside TV option when I ordered my Phaeton 40 QTH. Like putting one in the provided basement area where it is lower to the ground and you can angle it where ever you want for the least glare.

I would definitely opt for a higher mounted tv....the ones I've had in my previous three coaches were hard to use due to the ninety degree opening door....The door served to restrict the angle from which many more than one or two people were able to watch the screen.

Plenty of room to see this one.
Note: The silver "thing" on the bottom right is the backside of a fridge sitting next to this Phaeton. This shot was taken in a dealer's shop and the fridge was destined for the coach in the next service bay. |

Here is another picture of the external TV. This one is in the 43QRP. Note the lack of the gas furnace in the slide...and the silver fridge
We did decide to order it with the TV outside. I doubt we'll use it often, but there's been occasion it'd be nice to catch the weather or watch a game. We got the outside TV because it was already installed. But so far have never used it. It's fun to talk about it but to be honest I wouldn't order one that took up storage.
However that one located up higher.... maybe |

I cant think of a time I hae not used my outside TV. With the wife and two kids, it is always nice to have to go watch MY program. There is only so much sponge bob I can take!
