I have not been able to get into TiffinRVNetwork all day. From my Verizon modem or from our home cable modem. My DH said he tried to from work..didn't work either. So I guess it is down.

Dixie was great when we were driving thru to New Orleans and needed a quick fix. TMH will make it right no matter what but I don't know too many folks who pick up a new coach and head out on a long trip. Every coach from Monaco, Tiffin Etc need some 'help' before they are ready for a long trip.

Dixie RV
has done good work in the past. Not sure just what problem you had with them. I agree with Joe, long maiden trip not advisable until you have a good working relationship with all the systems onboard. You can do a good deal of harm (D.I.Y.)if you do not familiarize yourself with troubleshooting sequence. Breaking-in the coach doesn't mean getting "road time"; it includes knowing that relays & interlocking systems have a systematic design. Oftentimes an error appears that has a hidden origin in another component.
[BTW: TRVN is indeed experiencing server problems.]Have all mfgr. phone numbers handy & Coach Net or other service if you choose to ignore good advice & kick off on several states route right out-the-showroom door.
Safe travels & enjoy the bus. What floorplan?

Thanks---took the RV on long test drive---camped one night--fix few problems--drove the next day--camped using slides and jacks numerous times---then spent two days hanging out at Dixie--they would not let me watch the PDI in the shop----then would not let the watch the "TV" Tech-----The TV's amd satelite would not work, so brought it home to Ricky Smith and found wrong cables and several bad couplings had bad Kingdome-Kingdem air friehted new and Ricky Smith nstalled this am-all fixed now

Ricky Smith tech said Don Stan had a new Tiffin with similar problems, hae not talked to him??

First test drive thru a rain storm - no leaks in bus but several compartments got wet and needed adjustment, will adjust two more today.

Inverter trip off on first run, hit reset and is still going today---windshield wipers stopped during rainstorm, found a parking lot--got checked fuses they were good so gave wipers a good pull and they took off---it has rained everyday and they still work???

The big fun stated when I headed home--about 15 miles west of Baton Rouge--two Highway PAtrolmen pulled me over and advise me I had spilled Lots of Diesel on highway---found the fill line had come out of the 2
" coupling and that coupling is 8 inches below top of tank-----the tank equalized---they held me unitl a mechanic got on site and got line back in,,,spent the night at truck stop--tanked up and had small leaks--went back to Dixie and they pulled both lines put sealer and tightened hoses--no leaks-

while a truck stop, spent the night on inverter to check out, it ran the 110 and one AC---did good..Went ot Thib's fabricators to get lift installed on stern of bus and rain th geerator and all systems for 8 hours--no problems

My route Saturdsay takes me within 65 miles of Red Bay--we will spent Sat night somewhere close to RB and if needed will sneak in for warranity and a talk about cost of diesel leak, and Ricky Smith repairs( Techis writing a report bout bad couplings and wrong cable runs)--Dixie does not have qualified techs for complicated wiring or cable problems-----

Have 950 miles on bus, I put 415 and getting 5.4MPG--this sould improve as engine braks in..

I might have a engine brake problem--seems the switch has no effect and the bus stay in low brake--tha s all I used on my Newmar--wll check it out with Spartan..

Guess ya'll are tired of my journal, but I really appreciate your concerns

This is what I do not understand. I know what they will claim - insurance. Yet my neighbor has a very, very, large body shop and customers wander all over in it. I have been in many shops where customers have free range. Yet, I run into those where the door is shut in your face claiming "Insurance". Makes no sense. And I do understand that talking and asking a tech questions while they are working on your vehicle can distract them and slow them down. But still, it is my vehicle they are working on! And I don't let just anyone work on any of my vehicles!

Just venting. Hope things work out for you. And be glad that those Highway Patrolmen did not call Hazmat.

Patrolman, said he called HAZMAT, but they never showed up...they were very polite n escorted me to truck stop,,,told me not to trael till daylight and check for leaks in the am,,,it was still pretty costly ot get trucks and mechanic to fix without spilling more diesel...it cost me $980.00-----The big cost is the tchs to repair cables, coulpings and Kingdome,,will prepare a report with tickest and give to Tiffin?????

Tom,
What system do you have on your slides? Power gear Electric, or HWH?? Check all fuses. Make sure engine is off and brake on.
