We've been towing a 36' 2002 Teton Experience Sunrise for almost a year. We traded it on a 1999 Itasca Suncruiser and this is like learning to walk again. The Itasca only has 30k miles and is in pretty good shape except for the lack of glossiness on the outside and we're going to have to replace the stiping. The inside is clean and everything works but the upholstery needs updating. It's too much GREEN! Carpet is in great shape so we're going to reupholster, change out the countertops and drawer hardware and redo the outside. The tires are 9 years old with 30k miles so we're going to replace those too. But it has lifetime shocks,Banks, Gearvender, and lots of extras on it - including solar panels for boondocking in addition to the generator. So . . . we have a lot to learn and we are excited. Getting all the stuff from the Teton into the Class A was the biggest challenge! We'd love to hear any advice from anyone with a gas Class A similar to ours. We're learning from scratch here!!

GraciesMom;

Welcome to IRV2. Wave You have found the friendliest site on the Internet IMHO. You may have lots of questions and I would recommend posting them in the Winnebago Forum. There is a wealth of experience there. I added a short cut to that forum for you.

Congratulations on your new to you coach. Post often and tell us of your experiences with your new coach.

Hi and welcome! Wave

You might try a forum search for "Suncruiser" and whatever the Winnebago equivalent model is for some specific-to-your-model forum posts.

Congratulations on the new coach! About a year ago we bought a 1999 Winnebago Chieftain 36' DP with 38,000 miles on it. Same vintage but different model from your Itasca but am sure they share many common components. Hope you got all the manuals with it. If I can answer any questions feel free to contact me. We are still learning about our coach even after 8,000 miles. Best of Luck!

Welcome, I just sold my 2000 Adventurer on a Chevy/Workhorse chassis last year. It also had Banks headers and gear vendors. I put around 30,000 miles on it and enjoyed every trip. Just make sure you have good tires and brakes. Other than that, Enjoy!

Our '96 Itasca 37' Suncruiser just passed 72000 miles on our Spring Break trip last week. We've had a number of problems over the years, but also lots of enjoyment. We tow a 12 foot cargo trailer, but still don't have room for everything, so its a matter of selecting stuff for each trip and leaving the rest behind.

Every trip I would like to have a Banks or equal system, but can't convince myself the investment would be worth it onm an 11 year old rig. Several years from now I will still wish I had done it years ago. Roll Eyes We have the Ford 460 engine which has gotten us there and back so far...although sometimes with stops for repairs.

In a couple of weeks we will be getting a seat lift put on to help lift our 5 special needs kids. That WILL be a worthwhile investment.

Enjoy your rig and post often on your experiences with it and on your travels in it. There's lots of RV talent here on the forum, so if you have questions, ASK !! If you have answers, POST !!

I also have a '98 Suncruiser. Bought it last year and have had it out only a few times. At this point, I've replaced the flooring, front-to-back with wood laminate. Man what a difference. And upgraded the speakers for the stereo. I'm getting ready to do some additional work on the interior, but figured I'd buy a book first to get some ideas. I'd like to redo the colors of all the fabrics inside.
I also have the Banks system and pull a little trailer with a golf cart and bikes etc. on it. No problem whatsoever.
I would love to hear about all the changes you make to your rig. Maybe I can steal some ideas from you!
