Best solution that I have seen so far...something to get your attention. A small stuffed animal that hugs the corner! A little larger than a beanie baby. It contrasts with the wood work & you notice it. Additionally, if you forget and "back" into it at least it offers some padding. I formerly used a black corner guard meant for childproofing countertop from toddlers head butts. But this looks much better.
