You've got to be excited counting down the days until you pick it up.

If you'd like to put the pictures in the post, you simply click the photo icon in the reply window (the second from the right) and insert the photo URL.

Below are a couple of Lou's pictures. I especially like the residential refridgerator. We're looking forward to that in our as with 5 of us traveling (and 2 teenage boys who eat us out of house and home) we need the room

Congratulations!! Go and Enjoy.

My next "last coach" will definitely not have a "head knocker" TV upfront. Does anyone a good way to pad that entry corner?

Historyljc,

The 43QRP that Lou bought and we have on order has a mid-coach TV location. The TV above the dash is optional.

Although the TV is a flat panel and doesn't protrude much past the cabinents, we ordered ours without it. We felt that the one TV in the middle of the coach was enough so we wanted the whole windshield open and besides, it avoids the head knocking.

A downside of not ordering the front TV though is you can't see the other TV with the slides closed. Just something to keep in mind.

Joe,

Thanks for the advice. We almost never watch TV with the slides in. I have banged my head enough to be short on Band-aids and ibuprofen. One more time and maybe I'll remember that it is there.

Safe and happy travels!

I'm just curious. How much of an issue is this "head knocking" thing with front tv's?

Having a gas coach with a mid-door, it's never been a hazzard for me, but it's something I'd want to consider for the future. You know, there's always a "next one" even if it's a ways away. Wink

Dave,

Lots of variables on this one. How tall are you? How big are you? How often do you have to lean over dash, or stoop down next to it. How high is the bottom edge of the TV cabinet? How much does it protrude into the coach.

I'm 6'4" 300, I don't work well in confined height spaces. Lean over the dash to close the front curtains and the wife will say something, I'll raise up and look around - Bingo! The computer tray is in front of the passenger's chair, the ac outlet is on the dash at floor level at the top of the entry steps. Plug the cord in and forget to be real careful standing back up - Bingo!

It's like an open slide outside, you know it's there, get distracted or don't pay proper attention - Bingo!

I had more of that on my 2004 Bus which had the big CRT TV. My 2007 with the flat LCD greatly reduces that. I've seen some brands where you could nail it when walking in the entrance door unless you limbo'd to the left when entering. What were they thinking?
